Trips to Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang is one of Austria's largest ski areas. If you want to take the grand tour and experience the most attractive slopes on the south and north sides, you'll need to rise early. But it’s worth it. Family-friendly and wide appealing slopes from Kohlmaiskopf, Bernkogel, Reiterkogel, and Spieleckkogel are great for getting into shape. Then you can dare to take on a challenge like the famous World Cup slope from the 1,984 m high Zwölfer mountain or the steep descent on the north side of the 2,020 m high Schattberg. Whether you're taking it easy with carving or are an ambitious downhill skier, you'll always find something that suits you.

Throughout the ski area, 40 authentic alpine huts invite you to culinary highlights. Down in the valley, free ski buses are available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to take you back to your starting point.

Floodlit Slopes and Toboggan Runs.

Even after sunset, you can stay on the slopes. If your legs still have energy, extend your day in the fun park on the floodlit slope in Hinterglemm or on the illuminated slope at Schanteilift in Leogang. If you prefer to head downhill with a toboggan, the ski area offers five different illuminated toboggan runs. Welcome to one of the area's numerous après ski bars where you can let loose on the dance floor. For a more relaxed atmosphere, choose from night torchlight walks, romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides, or snowshoe hikes.

Charming Hinterglemm.

Hinterglemm is a neighbor to Saalbach and is conveniently located deep in the valley where skiing is most accessible. You can start your day in Hinterglemm and end in Saalbach effortlessly—a true delight! Getting back is easy with the ski bus. The houses here are built in traditional Tyrolean style, and the village is known for its friendliness. The price level is very pleasant, and the range of restaurants is extensive—a true gem of a resort.

Travel Tips.

If you choose to fly to a major airport, we can assist with car rental to reach your ski destination. There are also train/bus connections from the airport to many Austrian ski resorts. Ensure you have ample time to catch your flight home.
