Trips to Zell am See

Zell am See is beautifully situated at the foot of the Schmittenhöhe mountain and next to the majestic Lake Zeller. The town is relatively large for being in the Alps and offers a wide range of restaurants, shopping, bars, clubs, and activities for the whole family, alongside skiing. Red and Blue Trails.

The skiing area known as the Europa Sportregion, covering Zell am See and Kaprun, offers challenges for everyone! Whether you choose to ski or snowboard down the mountain, you're sure to have a great time here.

The slopes are more red and blue than black, although those feeling inventive and adventurous can certainly find their thrill, especially right after fresh snowfall. If you're up for a real highlight, it's not far by bus to Kaprun with the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, at 3,200 meters above sea level. Skiing here is somewhat gentler and easier than in Zell am See, and the natural experience is hard to match with stunning views.

Schüttdorf.

This area also offers accommodation options with large lifts accessing the ski system. Here you'll find good apartments and hotels. The area has great restaurants and bars.

Travel Tips.

If you choose to fly into Munich, rental cars are available to help you reach your ski destination. There are also train connections from the airport to many Austrian ski resorts like Zell am See. Make sure you allow enough time for your return flight.
