Pag is a long, rocky island dotted with numerous beaches and charming small villages, known for its famous and unique cheese. The island can be accessed by ferry from the mainland or via a bridge at its southern end.

The Rockiest Island?

The largest town on the island is Pag, situated roughly in the island's center. It is an old, small town with a well-preserved center featuring numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes. Pag sits in a bay lined with kilometers of beaches, many of these with coarse sand, gravel, and pebbles.

Novalja is the island's main tourist destination, located a little over 12 miles north of the town of Pag. It rests in a picturesque bay on the island's west side, offering all the essentials for a vacation. Here, you will find a good selection of water sports, beautiful beaches, and an excellent array of restaurants and cafes. Just outside the village is the long, wide, and popular pebble beach of Zrce. Several beaches have their own beach clubs with music, especially popular among young people seeking a lively vacation experience.

For those who prefer a quieter pace, we recommend the village of Mandre. This is a small village where you will find a few restaurants and no large hotels. It is perfect if you want to experience local culture and enjoy a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
